Description
A botanical atlas is nearing publication, but the illustrator accidentally mixed up the characteristics of several closely related plant species during the sketching process. You must compare the illustrations against photographs of actual plant specimens to spot the “errors”—such as rose thorns depicted on a lily stem, or iris leaves paired with a daffodil bulb.
Gameplay and Toolset: The core mechanic is “feature-matching spot-the-difference,” requiring a comparison of various plant organs. Tools include “Feature Breakdown Views” (isolating roots, stems, leaves, and flowers for individual inspection) and “Specimen Reference Charts” (displaying photo thumbnails for detailed comparison).
Level Overview: Levels 1–1,500 feature “Spring-Blooming Plants,” where differences lie in petal count and color; levels 1,501–2,800 cover “Ferns and Mosses,” focusing on leaf segmentation patterns; and levels 2,801–4,000 feature “Succulents and Bulbous Plants,” where errors in the morphology of underground parts are particularly subtle and well-hidden.
