Description

You must compare a set of new, antique-style replicas against photographs of the genuine articles to distinguish between “artificial aging” and “natural wear”—such as the direction of glaze drips on the spout or the natural appearance of concentric wear patterns on the base of a cup.
Gameplay and Toolkits: “Material Aging Spot-the-Difference”—distinguishing between natural and man-made marks. Toolkits include “Macro Scan” (zooming in to examine glaze bubbles and crackle patterns) and “Wear Simulation” (calculating expected wear patterns based on different usage habits and comparing them to the actual object).
Level Overview: Levels 1–4,500 cover “Tea Bowls,” with differences involving rim chips and color staining; levels 4,500–6,600 cover “Teapots,” with differences involving limescale inside the lid and the distribution of tea stains on the body; levels 6,600–8,500 cover “Tea Saucers and Tea Scoops,” where changes in wear patterns on wood and bamboo items are extremely subtle.
